Privacy Policy.
How VCOS collects, uses, and protects information when you visit vcosai.com or get in touch.
Effective June 14, 2026
The short version. We collect the minimum we need to run the site and reply to you, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it.
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how VCOS ("VCOS", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit vcosai.com (the "Site") or contact us. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
VCOS builds software for venture capital firms. This policy covers our public marketing site and pre-release waitlist. It does not cover any separate product agreement, which governs data inside the VCOS application itself.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to operate the Site and respond to you.
- Information you provide. When you submit the contact form or join the waitlist, we collect the details you enter, such as your name, work email, firm, and message.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect basic technical and usage data, such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the page that referred you. We use this to keep the Site secure and to understand what is useful.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use a small number of cookies and privacy-friendly analytics to measure traffic. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use information
- To respond to your messages and waitlist requests.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To send product updates you have asked for, which you can opt out of at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, then delete or anonymize it. Contact and waitlist records are kept until you ask us to remove them or they are no longer needed.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are your consent, our legitimate interest in operating the Site, and compliance with legal obligations.
Third-party links and services
The Site may link to third-party sites and services we do not control, such as LinkedIn. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.
International transfers
We may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. We will highlight material changes on the Site.
